Diagnostics

At your pet's annual wellness appointment, your veterinarian will perform a series of tests to ensure your pet is in good health and there are no urgent issues to deal with. For every adult cat and dog, this includes:

Bloodwork including chemistry panel, CBC, +/- thyroid
Heartworm testing and tick-borne disease testing for dogs
Fecal sample

Based on the results of those tests and other scans, we can perform additional diagnostics to provide the most appropriate care.

Our in-house veterinary diagnostics include:

Digital radiography uses x-rays to produce images of bones. We can send them to a board certified radiologist for interpretation and recommendations.
Blood testing including chemistry and CBC (noted above) gives us valuable information on levels of several components in the blood and can help pinpoint causes of health problems. Cytology is done to evaluate at the microscopic level.
